The term Afro-Colombians is used to refer to black people living in Colombia, descendants of those who were abducted from their native Africa and imported as slaves by Spanish colonizers. Won freedom in 1851 after the abolition of slavery in Colombia. Since his arrival has contributed greatly to the culture.

By the middle of last century the black population was mostly on both coasts: in the departments of the Pacific Chocó, Valle, Cauca and Nariño and the Atlantic coast in Bolívar, Atlántico, Magdalena. In the past half century, a large sector of the black population has settled in major cities.

Afro-Colombian culture
The black population of Colombia, also known as Afro, is made up of descendants of enslaved Africans brought to America from the time of the conquest in the sixteenth century. His arrival occurs in the context of global capitalist development, when theEuropean colonization wave introduced slave labor in the Americas for the developmentof productive activities linked to the exploitation of raw materials like cotton, rice, sugar, snuff, and others. They entered our country as part of the slave for Cartagena de Indias,as contraband came from the Pacific coast of Buenaventura, Charambirá and Gorgon,or the Atlantic coast of Riohacha, Santa Marta, Tolu and Darien.

Paisa culture
While the word "country" is a shortened form of "Paisano" in Colombia this word definesone of its sub-cultural groups of people: the Colombians from the departments ofAntioquia, Risaralda, Caldas, Quindio, northern Valle del Cauca and north of Tolima.

The countries within the national cultural context, forms part of the identity of Colombiaalong with the other 4 regional human groups (there are 5 in total), giving the country avariety of manifestations and forms of it.

A feature of the country is the use of the pronoun with its own conjugations you instead ofyou.

Paisa Region of Colombia can be considered as one sector of the national territoryinhabited by a very characteristic mass of people everywhere distinguishable (seepaisa).

Essentially, a true paisa has a productive and proactive spirit, thrifty, enterprising andrestless. It is also very attached to their land and culture, very regional, but the time forexploration is bold and innovative, irreverent when it comes to inventing, and dissident.

The country loves much freedom, a concept emblem of one of his hymns departments, the resounding anthem of Antioquia.

NO RETURN JOURNEY

European sailors approaching the African coast, began by throwing a salute to warn the local head of his arrival as a sign of homage to his authority. Pleased with this mark of respect, the chief received them the next day. The captain appeared and offered gifts: Mantos gold braid and stews, feathered tricorn, umbrellas and brightly colored fabrics. Having reached an agreement, the Captain gave the king the barrels of brandy, cloth, guns and other items agreed and the king declared open question.

A hand luggage then landed and built a large hut where the enslaved could be stored like cattle. African men and women arrived in long lines at the neck tied to a kind of forked stick, some after having gone thousands of miles through the forest and steppe. They were prisoners of war, victims of clashes between opposing tribes or hunted by the desire to respond to market demand. There were no children or older.

In the barracks the enslaved were examined. They looked at teeth, eyes, made them run, jump, dance. We looked for signs of disease: scurvy, worms, scabies ... for a man or woman in disrepair was worth less. If he was blind in one eye had a reduction in the price, as if he was deaf, or if he lacked any teeth.
The trip was terrible. Since boarding the ship, guessing the fate that awaited them, many Africans preferred to kill himself by jumping into the water. The rest, naked, branding on the chest, were cufflinks, chained two by two in the bottom of the vessel. There remained 15 to 16 hours per day in the dark, no ventilation and no health systems, having a space that was barely larger than a grave.
Not all men and women who left Africa came to America in the long journey many of them died from diseases and others were thrown overboard by foremen, when the boat came very heavy. According to some data, about fifteen million that went to America for all it is estimated that two million had died.

In the early sixties Fernando Botero moved to New York, where his paintings won him considerable popularity in the U.S. art market. Among his best known works include The nuptial chamber, Mona Lisa at age twelve and Chitosan. His move to Paris coincided with her first sculptural works, which shared the characteristics of his paintings.

Medellin is the largest city in the region called the country of Colombia. As such, the cultural element paisa is expressed in the ways of talking, dressing, build, use the market, and trading of the common Medellin.

Catholicism, as one of the axes of identity of the country, evidenced by the large number of Catholic churches throughout the entire territory of the city.

The market and neighborhood stores, which would result in difficulty to the construction of modern shopping centers, refuse to die, and still more alive than ever, with a meeting and exchange of popular culture. In fact, over 70% of sales of commodities in the city are made in local shops and street markets.

Afro Caribbean rural housing is made of wood with thatched roofs. These solar homes are where the kitchen is surrounded by palisades. This same structure is preserved even in cities and palm wood is replaced by bricks and tiles of zinc. It is known that in the early twentieth century Necoclí (Cordoba) households were simple constructions of bitter palm. The roof frame and arrow were armed with cane reeds. The walls were covered with cane shaft and a mixture of sand and cow dung. Since 1955 these materials were replaced by bricks and cement that came from Cartagena, the stone came from Tortuguilla and Puerto Escondido and gravel from the town of Zapata.

The black population of Colombia, also known as Afro, is made up of descendants of enslaved Africans brought to America from the time of the conquest in the sixteenth century. His arrival occurs in the context of global capitalist development, when the European colonization wave introduced slave labor in the Americas for the development of productive activities linked to the exploitation of raw materials like cotton, rice, sugar, snuff, and others. They entered our country as part of the slave for Cartagena de Indias, as contraband came from the Pacific coast of Buenaventura, Charambirá and Gorgon, or the Atlantic coast of Riohacha, Santa Marta, Tolu and Darien.

The hairstyle is created by combing the hair away from the scalp, allowing the hair to extend out from the head in a large, rounded shape, much like a halo, cloud or ball.[1][2][3][4][5] In persons with naturally curly or straight hair, the hairstyle is typically created with the help of creams, gels or other solidifying liquids to hold the hair in place. Particularly popular in the African-American community of the mid-to-late 1960s,[3][5] the hairstyle is often shaped and maintained with the assistance of a wide-toothed comb colloquially known as an afro

The Paisas are a people who inhabit a region over the northwest Colombia in the Andes.[1]

The region is formed by the departments of Antioquia, Caldas, Risaralda and Quindío. Some regions of Valle del Cauca Department (north) and Tolima Department (west) belong to the cultural identity of paisas. The main cities are Medellín, Pereira, Manizales and Armenia.

The name of Paisa derives from the Spanish apocope of Paisano (one from the same country), although they are also known as "Antioqueños" (those from the old Antioquia that included the other Paisa provinces and that was a single administrative body until the creation of the Caldas State in 1905.) Although many refer to Paisas as an ethnic group (raza antioqueña or raza paisa), they are a part of the Colombians and Latin American peoples.
Although some sources argue that the Indian Americans that populated most of the Paisa Region were extinguished through European diseases and fights against the Spaniard conquerors, it is not fully demonstrated.

Francisco César made an expedition in 1537 from Urabá to the Cauca River to the lands of Dabeiba, but his troops were rejected by the Nutibaras. In 1540 Marshall Jorge Robledo founded Cartago. In 1541 he founded Arma in what is today the south of Antioquia, near today Aguadas and Santa Fe de Antioquia, at the banks of the Cauca River. Afro customs:

Pedagogical Dimension:

In the academic sector is increasingly abandoned the idea that ethnic education is synonymous with backwardness, obsolete customs, because they linked it to the new technologies have been introduced to humanity in many ways in the world of science and communication universal.

Linguistic dimension:

Ethnic and cultural identity may consolidate or enter into crisis by the influence of historical, political, economic, social, psychological and, essentially, by the language. Language is a field of cultural exchange, but also very sensitive to acculturation. Therefore, one must consider the educational responsibilities of teachers against the prejudices of the Spanish language and the negative effects of lack of manifestations of creole languages in communication.

Environmental Dimension:

The Colombians have preserved ancient traditions developed and recreated on the appropriation of environmental resources, keeping a harmonious relationship with nature, which is a cultural heritage worthy of consideration in the curriculum, with the prospect of combining inputs to the solution the obvious environmental problems of the country.

Geo-historical dimension:

This dimension is related to the territory, an important factor in cultural identity. For Afro-Colombians concepts of ethnicity, culture and territory are independent. Define the territory as a space where they establish or develop biophysical relationships of belonging, kinship and exploitation of natural resources. These relationships as a whole give reasons for a cultural logic of territory. The occupation of the geographical areas have a historical dimension, sociocultural and political. In that sense, the territory is a sociocultural construction of natural conditions where the story unfolds in a community.

paisa culture:
Paisa Region of Colombia's northern region includes the departments of Valle del Cauca and Tolima, Antioquia, where the Spanish accent is prominent as a result of the colonization of Western Antioquia Colombia. the resounding anthem of Antioquia.

The personality of the country is jovial, likes to talk, is cheerful and lively. Those countries are known for their ability to do business. Citing the chronicle written by the poet Fidel Torres, "El Paisa everything sells, cambalachea everything, plays everything, all"hot ", minus the beard razor. And through all the ways of the world singing," clipping "embolatando half of humanity. "

The country also has some as bluff, gruff and egalitarian spirit. This population is unique in Colombia in their history. The inhabitants of regions have been almost impossible to settle because one of the most mountainous and rugged geography of the world, the countries remained isolated for centuries, unlike the other Colombian populations amounted to inter-communicate and mingle with each other, and develop models feudal Spanish colony.
