HOUSING
The housing of the Afro, is in wood, with thatched roofs. These housing have solar where the kitchen, and is surrounded for sticks.

The housing of the Paisa, is big, have zaguan, courtyard, big windows and clay roof.

Afro Caribbean rural housing is made of wood with thatched roofs. These solar homes are where the kitchen is surrounded by palisades. This same structure is preserved even in cities and palm wood is replaced by bricks and tiles of zinc. It is known that in the early twentieth century Necoclí (Cordoba) households were simple constructions of bitter palm. The roof frame and arrow were armed with cane reeds. The walls were covered with cane shaft and a mixture of sand and cow dung. Since 1955 these materials were replaced by bricks and cement that came from Cartagena, the stone came from Tortuguilla and Puerto Escondido and gravel from the town of Zapata.
