Afro-Colombian culture is located in almost all over the country. Shows a great concentration in the coastal states of the Pacific and the Caribbean. This population is also located in the lower parts of the valleys of the rivers Magdalena, Cauca, San Jorge, Sinu, Cesar, Atrato, San Juan, Baudo, Patia and Mira. In addition there are some enclaves of old fences, farms, mines, or banana plantations and oil centers in almost all regions of the country.

The housing of the Afro, is in wood, with thatched roofs. These housing have solar where the kitchen, and is surrounded for sticks.

The hause of the Paisa, is big, have zaguan, courtyard, big windows and clay roof.
